At “It’s Your Break,” we are more than just a podcast and are actively looking for guests who can contribute a compelling narrative to our show. Our selection criteria strictly prioritize the quality of your story over professional statistics, awards, or personal achievements. We are looking for contributors whose experiences align with our brand and current direction, so we encourage you to provide a lot of details in your application regarding why you want to be a guest. Please keep in mind that we steer away from topics like religion and politics to maintain our specific show focus. What is your process to be a guest on It’s Your Break?
You just need to reach out to us by email (preferred) or by using the form below. Use a lot of details and make sure you tell us your story on why you want to be a guest, as that will help you get through our selection process.
What is your selection process for guests?
Here at It’s Your Break, each submission is treated as an application and reviewed to identify contributors who best align with our brand, specific interests, and the show’s current direction.
Our selection criteria prioritize the quality of the story over statistics, awards, or personal achievements. Submissions that lead with a powerful story are significantly more likely to receive a response. To help us distinguish your submission, please share a compelling narrative.
Are there any topics you reject or steer away from, when considering guests?
Absolutely. We typically try to steer away from religion and politics. The reason is… that it isn’t our focus, and those topics already get a lot of coverage.
What is your turnaround time for scheduling interviews?
Following our review process, we will begin scheduling interviews. If your submission is selected, a member of our team will contact you within two to three weeks. To respect your time, please note that if you do not receive a response within this three-week window, we have decided not to pursue an interview at this time. However, as our show continues to evolve, we may reach out regarding future opportunities.
